Helping Housing Associations create dynamic boards

We know it isn’t easy to create a dynamic board; with a brilliant and ever changing mix of skills, experiences and perspectives. We are on a mission to help you dance towards dynamism, (rather than ticking boxes to achieve diversity)! 

We use data to optimise the advertising of your non-exec vacancy so you or your search firm can focus your energy on the dance: the challenging job of filtering applications and interviewing candidates to find those that will help you create a future-fit, dynamic board. 

Our CEO, Sarah Pierman, started Dynamic Boards to create free and fair access to Non-Executive Director vacancies for ALL. There are several vacancy listing sites that run on an exclusive access basis, or charge people to view roles. We want to ensure that anyone can see board vacancies and have the opportunity to apply. Since we launched in May 2020 we have showcased over 4000 roles, of which 638 are in the housing sector.

We are eager to help Housing Associations take action to encourage under-represented groups to apply for your board roles.

Four ways we’d love to help:

  • Advertise your vacancy on for FREE
    Just send us over the details to and we’ll get it live on the site straight away. We showcase vacancies for paid, non-executive board roles.
  • Send a nudge email to candidates who meet your brief
    We have a UK-wide database of candidates who are interested in hearing about Non-Executive Director vacancies. We use targeted email advertising to encourage people with the experience or background you’re looking for to apply. For example, if your board needs more digital skills, is based in the South East and has poor representation of people from black, asian, and minority ethnic backgrounds, then we can send an email to people who meet those criteria to particularly encourage them to apply.   • Record a video interview with a member of your board
    We love bringing boards to life! It can be  hard to convey what you are like in a text-only advert. You can see an example of this from the wonderful John Delahunty, CEO of Innis Free here. Informal video interviews are going down a treat now that 2020 has helped us all get used to being on video more!
  • Have a chat
